Soul Harvest Season Initiative 2022

“Then he said to his disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”

 – Matthew 9:37

March 2 – April 15, 2022

This is a time to intentionally reflect upon and respond to the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ personally and purposefully. All Shiloh church members are encouraged to participate in the Soul Harvest Season Initiative.  There are four principles that we are seeking to honor:

1. Souls: Seeking the Salvation of the Lost

The Lenten Season is the perfect opportunity and time to share the gospel: Jesus died, was buried and raised back to life to secure the salvation of the lost.  All members are challenged to win one person to Christ during this season.  The following are some ways to share this message:

Worship with and invite or bring your BFF, Cousins, Auntie, Uncle, FB or Instagram friends, co-workers or Boo to church every Sunday from March 6th thru April 17.

Sign up to be a witness on Witnessing Satudays or during Holy Week: We need teams of at least 7 members to go out on scheduled days to share their faith with others.  The Evangelism Team will be witnessing at 3 different sites on Saturdays between 11am and Noon.  The goal is to lift Christ to win souls.

Share Shiloh’s Live Stream, Host a Watch Party, and pass out tracts and invite cards.

2. Service:

We need members to volunteer at Maryland Food Bank, YMCA, The Well and during Witnessing Saturdays.  Members will need to purchase non-perishable food items, gift cards, toiletries and cosmetic items that will be given to those in need and drop them off at the church on  donation days.  Members can bring donations to the church beginning March 2nd.  There will be bins at both doors of the church.

3. Sacrifice:

All are encouraged to participate as they give sacrificially throughout the Lenten Season. It is important for the congregation to understand that all contributions will be used to support the Church, a local missions project and/or a foreign missions project. Members can set aside their financial offerings daily to be collected on Resurrection Sunday or they can GIVE weekly.

4. Spiritual Formation:

Worship: Ash Wednesday at 7pm, Palm Sunday, Holy Week Services Nightly, Good Friday at 12pm and 7pm, Resurrection Sunday

Prayer:

Daily Prayer calls will be offered twice a day (every day at 7 am and 6:30 pm on church conference line 508-924-2486, A Night of Prayer & Worship - Mar 25, 2022 6pm - 10pm

Fasting:

The Daniel Fast is based on the fasting experiences of the Old Testament Prophet. It’s a partial fast where some foods are eaten while others are restricted to draw the believer closer to God. Meal plans and other pertinent details will be posted on the website.
